We are excited to launch our blog on all things mental health. Before the first post is published, we want to tell you a little bit about what you can expect from the BALA Bulletin.
Why A Blog?
Here at BALA, we are dedicated to helping people live happy, health, value-driven lives. In service of this mission, our psychologists are determined to both create and provide effective treatments, trainings, research, and literature. In order to make what we know accessible to as many people as possible, we have decided to take our knowledge to the Internet!
Who Are Our Bloggers?
Each post is written by a BALA staff member. That means that the information you receive in our blog has been developed by a licensed psychologist with expertise in the area they are writing about! Take a few minutes to meet our clinical team.
What You Will Learn
Every other week, we will be posting a brand new blog on a specific topic. Our topics will range from understanding symptoms of disorders like anxiety and depression to learning how to manage life’s stresses like relationships difficulties, and transitions. The blog styles will range from informational (for example, why does it feel like I am having a heart attack when I’m anxious) to instructional (for example, a how-to guide to improving your mood). These posts are not a form of treatment and do not serve as a replacement of therapy, but rather a way for us to provide education to our broader community.
