TREATING THE CORE COMPONENTS OF EMOTIONAL DISORDERS
Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders is an evidence-based treatment developed at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders in Boston, MA. It is an emotion-focused CBT treatment that is designed to address the common components found at the core of all emotional disorders (e.g., anxiety disorders, mood disorders, anger).
Conducted as a group therapy model, Unified Protocol teaches participants how to:
- fully engage with your emotions,
- facilitate acceptance and learn to tolerate those emotions
- respond to emotional experiences adaptively
Behavioral Associates Los Angeles offers Unified Protocol groups for specific disorders (e.g., social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, depression) as well as groups for mixed diagnostic presentations. Please contact us for details regarding our current group programming.
